Brydon to host Britannia Awards

Rob Brydon is to host the 2014 Bafta Los Angeles Britannia Awards again.

The 49-year-old funnyman will oversee the gala dinner and ceremony for the second year running, which will take place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on October 30.

Bafta Los Angeles chairman Nigel Daly said: "We are honoured that Rob has agreed to return to host our Britannia Awards for the second year in a row. Rob brings a perfect balance of wit and sincerity to the evening, and we know he will charm our audiences again this year, both in the ballroom and watching at home."

The Britannia Awards, the top honours handed out by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles, will air on BBC America on November 2.

Rob, best known for his work with Steve Coogan on The Trip and The Trip To Italy as well as his own shows, previously starred in the Bafta-winning BBC series Gavin And Stacey.
