Sandra Bullock will not star in the remake of Annie after all.
The Oscar-winning actress was in talks to play Miss Hannigan, who runs the orphanage where Annie lives, but The Wrap reported that negotiations have now come to an end.
Sony will now be looking for a new Miss Hannigan after failing to reach a deal with Sandra.
The actress was said to have been in talks about the role - played by Carol Burnett in the 1982 movie - in March but turned it down at the time. Earlier this month it was reported that she had entered new negotiations about the part.
Beasts Of The Southern Wild Oscar-nominee Quvenzhane Wallis will play Annie in the film and Django Unchained star Jamie Foxx is set to play wealthy benefactor Benjamin Stacks, a variation of the Daddy Warbucks character who adopts the orphan.
Directed by Will Gluck, the film, being made by Sony with producers including Will Smith and Jay-Z, is due out at the end of 2014.
