Rose Byrne has revealed that she considered Owen Wilson as a mentor when they worked together on The Internship.
The Damages actress, who stars in romantic comedy I Give It A Year, plays Owen's love interest in the comedy, which also stars his Wedding Crashers co-star Vince Vaughn.
"Owen was great. He's really collaborative and really smart. I mean, he wrote Bottle Rocket and Rushmore and he's excellent with script and dialogue and beats," she said.
"I really looked to him to figure out how we could make everything work funnier. He's really sweet, a really gentle, nice guy."
Rose admitted that people mostly recognise her from Troy, Damages and of course, Bridesmaids.
She said of her Troy co-star Brad Pitt: "It was a wonderful thing and he was amazing to me and lovely. I've had such great luck with co-stars from Russell Brand to Glenn Close to Nic Cage to Owen.
"And that was a really great role. I can watch that now and look and enjoy the scenes. But at that really young age, it was sort of overwhelming to do such a big film but it was a fantastic character and a huge break for me."
Rafe Spall, Stephen Merchant, Anna Faris and The Mentalist's Simon Baker also star in I Give It A Year, which is in cinemas now.
