Cage: Ship's sailed on Ghost Rider
Nicolas Cage has said he's "done" with his role in the Ghost Rider movies.
The Croods actor has played Ghost Rider/Johnny Blaze in two films but told MTV News he would not star in a third film.
"I think the ship has sailed on that one," he said. "At least with me involved."
Nicolas didn't rule out the possibility of another film in the supernatural superhero series, but said he wouldn't be working on it.
He said: "Personally, I'm done. I've done what I had to do with that part. You never say never, but right now, today, I would say that I'm done."
The second film - Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance - received plenty of negative reviews when it was released last year but the actor insisted he was proud of the movie.
"Contrary to whatever the perception is, that was an enormously successful movie," he said.
"We made it for, like, 47 or 48 million dollars, and it approached 200 million dollars. I view that as a success. I think people need to know we did that on a shoestring budget. When you look at it that way you see the enormous talent of (directors) Mark Neveldine and Bryan Taylor, that they were able to accomplish that."
