Caine, Kingsley join Eliza Graves

Sir Michael Caine has joined the cast of Eliza Graves

Sir Michael Caine and Sir Ben Kingsley have both signed up to star in upcoming thriller Eliza Graves.

The big screen heavyweights have been added to the cast of the film alongside Jim Sturgess, who was previously rumoured to be in talks about a role, reported Deadline.

The newcomers join Kate Beckinsale in the psychological drama, which is loosely based on one of Edgar Allan Poe's short stories.

The film is set in a mental institution where the patients have taken over and are posing as doctors.

Underworld star Kate is tipped to play the title character, a patient who catches the eye of a newly arrived Harvard Medical School graduate (Jim) who has no idea that everything at the hospital is not as it seems.

Eliza Graves will be directed by Brad Anderson.
