Cameron finds writer for Avatar 2
James Cameron has enlisted the help of War Of The Worlds writer Josh Friedman to bring the Avatar sequel to the big-screen.
The filmmaker has been working in New Zealand on the script for the highly anticipated follow-up to his 2009 blockbuster, and has now brought in Josh to adapt the screenplay, reported The Wrap.
Josh was an executive producer and writer on the TV series Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Locke And Key. He also wrote the screenplays for Steven Spielberg's War Of The Worlds remake, Brian De Palma's thriller The Black Dahlia and sci-fi movie Chain Reaction, starring Keanu Reeves.
Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana are expected to return for Avatar 2, which is scheduled for a release in December 2015.
"Jim is still writing and hopefully by early next year, we will be shooting it," the actress has said.
Avatar, which has two planned sequels, is the highest-grossing movie of all time, having amassed nearly 2.8 billion US dollars worldwide.
