Cameron lines up new film project
James Cameron has lined up his next directing project.
The Oscar-winning filmmaker and his Lightstorm Entertainment banner have picked up movie rights to Taylor Stevens' book The Informationist and he is planning to both produce and direct the feature, according to The Hollywood Reporter's Heat Vision blog.
The movie follows Vanessa, a woman born in central Africa who spent her teenage years as a protege of gunners and mercenaries, who reinvents herself as an information dealer for wealthy clients.
Cameron said: "Taylor Stevens' Vanessa Michael Munroe is an intriguing and compelling heroine with an agile mind and a thirst for adventure. Equally fascinating for me is her emotional life and her unexpected love story."
The director is expected to work on The Informationist after he wraps up the two sequels to his 2009 hit, Avatar.
