Charlize Theron is said to be showing an interest in starring in the drama Dark Places.
The South African star is considering the lead role in the upcoming big-screen adaptation of Gillian Flynn's book, and is also looking to produce through her Denver & Delilah production company, reported Deadline.
Amy Adams was previously in negotiations to star in the drama, which focuses on a woman who is taken back to her past after surviving the brutal murder of her family when she was a child.
Gilles Paquet-Brenner, who wrote the script, is set to direct and is looking to start shooting in coming months.
Charlize, who was last seen in Prometheus and Snow White And The Huntsman, will next star in Mad Max: Fury Road opposite Tom Hardy.
