Chloe Moretz wins top acting gong
Chloe Moretz has scooped a coveted award for rising stars of the silver screen.
The 15-year-old actress - who made a splash playing foul-mouthed child assassin Hit-Girl in 2010's Kick-Ass - been named CinemaCon's Female Star Of Tomorrow, reports Variety.
Managing director Mitch Neuhauser announced the news and said Chloe had "captivated the attention of the movie-going public since the age of five with an array of diverse and challenging movie roles".
The actress, who recently starred in Oscar-winner Hugo and will soon be seen in Tim Burton's gothic comedy Dark Shadows, will be presented with the gong at the CinemaCon Big Screen Achievement Awards, which will be held in Las Vegas in April.
CinemaCon is scheduled to run in Las Vegas from April 23 to April 26.
