Chris Hemsworth enters Candy Store

Chris Hemsworth will play an undercover cop with a dangerous past in Candy Store

Chris Hemsworth looks set to star in crime thriller Candy Store.

The Avengers actor is currently "attached" to the eagerly anticipated project, a representative for the movie told The Wrap.

The project has been attracting interest from plenty of Hollywood heavyweights, with rumours that Brad Pitt, Denzel Washington and Jamie Foxx are among those interested in roles. There have also been reports that Brad's Inglourious Basterds co-star Christoph Waltz might join the film.

Writer-director Stephen Gaghan's movie follows a deep-cover operative who is starting a new life as a beat cop in Brooklyn. Things go wrong when he discovers that the global organisation he was dedicated to fighting is also operating in his new backyard.

Chris is busy working on Thor 2 and is signed up to a Snow White And The Huntsman sequel, as well as Steven Spielberg's Robopocalypse.

The star is also tipped for a role in a biopic about Steve McQueen. If those talks go ahead, Chris might be sharing the screen with his brother, Hunger Games star Liam, as he is also apparently thinking about signing up.

This isn't a good time to make travel plans. Weather conditions and work responsibilities have a way of wreaking havoc with your schedule. Wait another few days before putting down a hefty deposit. Working behind the scenes will yield significant rewards. If someone asks you to serve as their assistant, go ahead and accept. The pay will be excellent and there will be a lot of fringe benefits, too. Don't talk about a neighbour's private life in mixed company.More
