Christensen fights for Outcast role

Hayden Christensen could be co-starring with Nicolas Cage

Hayden Christensen could be headed to China for action adventure Outcast.

The Canadian actor is joining forces with Nicolas Cage, with both "attached" for stuntman Nick Powell's directorial debut, reported The Wrap.

The 31-year-old is tipped to play a warrior who tries to redeem himself by saving a princess, but it is not known what role Nicolas will take.

Production is expected to start next year.

Hayden, who played the young Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader in Star Wars Episode II: Attack Of The Clones and Star Wars Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith, has been quiet since appearing in 2008's sci-fi adventure Jumper and 2009 ensemble drama New York, I Love You.

Nicolas, who reprised his role as Johnny Blaze/Ghost Rider in the sequel Spirit Of Vengeance, is attached to David Gordon Green's drama Joe, vigilante thriller I Am Wrath and drama Amicus.
