Christopher Nolan's Batman journey

Director Christopher Nolan has admitted that he will miss Batman

Christopher Nolan says he's going to miss Batman after making three of the Caped Crusader films.

The filmmaker is ending his link with the character after making Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and the current box office hit The Dark Knight Rises.

In a foreword in the book The Art And Making Of The Dark Knight Trilogy, Collider said that the director said the movies had been the most satisfying experience of his career.

"My time in Gotham, looking after one of the greatest and most enduring figures in pop culture, has been the most challenging and rewarding experience a filmmaker could hope for," Christopher said.

"I will miss the Batman. I like to think that he'll miss me, but he's never been particularly sentimental."

Christopher told how he never expected to make a sequel or a third film.

Don't get involved with a hidden intrigue. The drama will be exciting at first, but eventually you will tire of keeping secrets. If someone is interested in you romantically, you shouldn't have to sneak around together. An oppressive work situation may tempt you to quit your job. Try not to discuss your plans with colleagues. You don't want a rival to tell your employer about your resignation until you're ready to tender it. Protect your interests at all costs.More
