Claflin broke hand on Hunger Games?

Sam Claflin broke his hand filming action scenes for Catching Fire

Sam Claflin apparently broke his hand doing a stunt for the new Hunger Games movie.

The Snow White And The Huntsman star - who has been cast in the role of Finnick Odair in the eagerly anticipated sequel Catching Fire - injured himself during rehearsals for a scene, reported E! News.

His co-star Alan Ritchson revealed: "Sam got hurt the worst. He broke his hand doing a stunt."

The actor, who plays Gloss in the follow-up to last year's hit film, added: "It was in rehearsal, so we weren't even shooting. He broke it on the stunt guy, warming up. I was standing right next to him."

Alan, 28, admitted it was "tough to watch" but added that British actor Sam took the broken bone "like a champ".

Sam, 26, and Alan have joined returning cast members Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth for Francis Lawrence's big screen adaptation of Suzanne Collins' second book in The Hunger Games trilogy.

Other newcomers include Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Jeffrey Wright and Jena Malone.

The movie about teenagers being forced to battle to the death will be released in November.

It's difficult to deal with a highly competitive colleague. Every time you submit work, they try to find ways to outperform you. Although you have no interest in pitting your talent against theirs, this other person thinks very differently. Ignoring them won't be possible. A good way to disarm this pest is to invite them out for coffee. Describe what you've observed and ask for a truce. Irrational people are often thrown off balance when their behaviour is addressed in a direct manner.More
