Claflin glad to be Stewart's prince
Sam Claflin has revealed he is "excited" about playing Kristen Stewart's Prince Charming.
The up-and-coming British actor, who makes his big-screen debut in Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, has won the coveted role of Prince Charmant in Snow White And The Huntsman, opposite the Twilight actress who will be portraying the beloved princess.
"I'm very excited - I'm a big fan of her work. I'm truly sort of flabbergasted, that's a good word, I love that," he told MTV.com.
He added: "I'm very lucky. Very, very lucky."
The 24-year-old, who previously appeared in TV series Any Human Heart, is thrilled about forging his new film career.
"I'm just looking forward to getting my teeth into something new as well. I've never had so much fun [as I did] doing [Pirates], working with Astrid Berges-Frisbey and all the other actors," he revealed.
Based on the legendary Grimm's fairy tale, Snow White And The Huntsman follows Snow White after the evil queen Ravenna (Charlize Theron) calls for her death.
The contemporary story, directed by Rupert Sanders, will see the huntsman (rumoured to be Chris Hemsworth) disobey orders, but instead of leaving the princess to fend for herself, mentor and train her to fight off the queen.
