Clive Owen is set to star in new flashback action thriller Recall.
The Closer star will play an NSA agent trying to piece together the events of a botched hostage rescue operation, in the film to be directed by Mercury Rising's Harold Becker, Variety reports.
As the agent begins to recall events and get to the truth, he realises he can't trust his fellow soldiers or even his own mind.
The screenplay has been written by Paul Schrader, who wrote Raging Bull and Affliction.
Filming is due to begin next March in Washington DC and Bulgaria.
Clive has several films due out soon, including horror thriller Intruders, terrorist movie Shadow Dancer and topical financial drama Cities.
