Colin Farrell to join Liam Neeson in heist thriller Widows
Liam Neeson and Colin Farrell are set to star in the same heist thriller movie Widows.
The Ballymena man is onboard along with Oscar winner Viola Davis and Michelle Rodriguez.
The US film publication Variety said Farrell is currently in negotiations for the film.
Steve McQueen will write the script along with Gone Girl screenwriter Gillian Flynn.
The film is understood to be based on the 1980s ITV series of the same name which was created by Prime Suspect author Lynda La Plante.
It told the story of four robbers who are killed in a failed heiest attempt - leaving their widows to finish the job.
Variety reports that Farrell will play a politician who ends up involved in the widows’ plans.
Neeson will next be seen in thriller The Commuter which opens on January 19, 2018.
