Collins to play Elizabeth Bennet?

Lily Collins is being linked to Pride Prejudice And Zombies

Lily Collins is in talks to star in Pride Prejudice And Zombies - a zombie take on Jane Austen's classic novel.

The Mirror Mirror: The Untold Adventures Of Snow White actress would play the Elizabeth Bennet character, Variety reported.

Directed by Burr Steers, the film would be based on the "mash-up" novel by Seth Grahame Smith, which combines the 19th-century English writer's famous story with that of an army of undead zombies.

Natalie Portman is one of the film's co-producers. The 31-year-old Black Swan star had originally intended to star as Elizabeth Bennet herself when she first joined the project in 2009.

During the four years the project has been in the pipeline Blake Lively, Rooney Mara, Emma Stone, Anne Hathaway, Scarlett Johansson and Mia Wasikowska have all been linked to the role.

Lily is next set to appear in The English Teacher with Julianne Moore and action adventure The Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones.
