Common to Run All Night with Neeson
Common is reportedly in talks to star in action thriller Run All Night.
The rapper-turned-actor is said to be "in negotiations" to play a "cool and calculated killer", said The Hollywood Reporter's Heat Vision blog.
Liam Neeson is already on board to play an ageing hitman, who is forced to take on his brutal former boss (Ed Harris) in order to protect his estranged son (Joel Kinnaman) and his family.
Common's character is Harris' most trusted killer, who lets nothing get in the way of a kill.
Jaume Collet-Serra is directing the movie for Warner Bros, with a script from Brad Inglesby.
Since making his big-screen debut in Smokin' Aces alongside Alicia Keys, Jeremy Piven and Ryan Reynolds, Common - whose real name is Lonnie Rashid Lynn Jr - has carved out an enviable film career with roles in Wanted, American Gangster and Terminator Salvation.
Previously seen in Louis Leterrier's Now You See Me, he has had a regular role in the Western TV series Hell On Wheels.
