Cooper: I couldn't ask for more

Dominic Cooper stars in new film The Devil's Double

Dominic Cooper has revealed he jumped at the chance to play Saddam Hussein's eldest son Uday.

The 33-year-old Mamma Mia! star, who plays Uday and his body double Latif in new film The Devil's Double, says it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

"It was certainly one of those filming experiences that only come along once in your life," the British actor said.

Dominic begged to audition for the role after hearing the film had been green-lit, years after he first read the script.

The star of An Education said: "For an actor you can't ask for more, in terms of the range it asks of you, to play two lead characters who are so utterly different.

"One is a psychotic, murdering, raping lunatic who was allowed to do whatever he liked.

"Then there's Latif, this passive guy, forced through no fault of his own to pretend to be this person."

Gemini:

You're anxious to put a plan into motion. Fortunately, you are able to charm a few reluctant holdouts into doing things your way. If you've developed a crush on someone, now is the time to confess it. Harbouring these feelings in secret will only make you miserable. It looks as if the prospects for a relationship are good, so long as your intentions are honourable. Playing with a person's heart will backfire miserably. Make sure your feelings are deep and true before embarking on an affair.More
