Kevin Costner is to star in drama Black And White, it has been reported.
The 58-year-old actor is set to play a widowed grandfather, who is involved in a custody battle over his own bi-racial granddaughter with the child's paternal grandmother, reported Deadline.
Kevin will also produce the indie drama, directed by Upside Of Anger's Mike Binderin, through his Treehouse Productions company.
Filming is scheduled to begin in New Orleans in the summer.
Kevin, who won an Emmy for his performance in the History Channel's series Hatfields And McCoys, will next star in Zack Snyder's Superman reboot Man Of Steel as the superhero's human father Jonathan Kent, before being seen opposite Chris Pine in Jack Ryan.
He has wrapped McG's action thriller Three Days To Kill, and is attached to Ivan Reitman's sports drama Draft Day.
