Courtney lands Jolie, Crowe films

Jai Courtney has signed up for new films directed by Angelina Jolie and Russell Crowe.

The Australian actor, known for A Good Day To Die Hard, has been cast in Angelina's Unbroken and Russell's directorial debut The Water Diviner, according to Deadline.

Unbroken is the story of Louis Zamperini, an Olympic runner who was taken prisoner by Japanese forces during World War II.

Jai will play Hugh 'Cup' Cuppernell, a WWII veteran pilot who gets caught in a midair gunfight alongside the runner, played by Jack O'Connell.

The Water Diviner, which Russell also stars in, is the story of an Australian man who travels to Turkey after the Battle of Gallipoli to locate his three missing sons.

Jai will play a soldier tasked with organising the effort to identify the tens of thousands of soldiers killed at Gallipoli.
