Craig: No holding back on Tattoo

Daniel Craig says David Fincher has been given free rein on the film

Daniel Craig has hinted that his next film, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, won't be for the faint-hearted.

The Bond actor said even he was shocked when US director David Fincher showed him some of the scenes of the film remake, which sees Daniel star as journalist Mikael Blomkvist.

He told Esquire magazine: "It's as adult as you can possibly make it. This is adult drama. I grew up... watching The Godfather and that, movies that were made for adults.

"And this is a 100 million dollar R-rated movie. Nobody makes those any more. And Fincher, he's not holding back."

He told the August issue of the mag: "They've given him free rein. He showed me some scenes recently, and my hand was over my mouth, going, Are you f****** serious?"

The film, based on the book of the same name by Stieg Larsson, features Daniel's character Mikael investigating the disappearance of a young woman with help from Lisbeth Salander (US actress Rooney Mara).

If you're not able to provide them with the luxuries they crave, there will be problems. Then again, you have the potential for being a good provider, so all may be well.More
