Crowe for Fathers And Daughters?

Russell Crowe is set to star in drama Fathers And Daughters.

The Man Of Steel actor is tipped to play a dad in the upcoming film, said The Hollywood Reporter.

The story would focus on a woman, who looks back on the relationship she had with her novelist father, as she deals with a crumbling relationship in the present day.

Actresses are undergoing the audition process for the female lead.

Gabriele Muccino, who took the reins for The Pursuit Of Happyness and Seven Pounds, will direct the film, which is expected to start shooting in December.

Russell, who previously played Superman's biological father Jor-El in Zack Snyder's Man Of Steel and portrayed Inspector Javert in Tom Hooper's Les Miserables remake, will next be seen in Akiva Goldsman's directorial debut, Winter's Tale, and as Noah in Darren Aronofsky's Biblical epic.
