Russell Crowe has joked that his co-star Elizabeth Banks looked good behind bars in their new movie The Next Three Days.
"It was a lot of fun seeing her in prison garb and how naturally she suited those jail clothes," teased the actor, who plays Elizabeth's other half in the new thriller.
The movie sees Russell's character attempt to rescue his wife from prison after she is convicted of murder.
"She has a very robust sense of humour and I think that's required playing a character like this," Russell explained.
"I was very lucky on this movie as I got to work with a lot of great actors, every week we had someone very cool come in that I got to do some scenes with," he said.
Liam Neeson makes a cameo in the film playing a hardened criminal and jail breaker.
"Doing a scene with Liam was fantastic, I've been a big fan of his for some time," Russell said.
He added: "There was a gigantic amount of dialogue which was very difficult for him. I've just got to sit there and listen to him talk but I think it was about seven or eight pages he had to cram into his head, so it must have been very difficult for him coming to a film set for a day and memorising that level of dialogue. But it was a great experience."
