Dame Judi Dench has revealed that she takes memory supplements to help her remember her lines.
The Bond actress, 78, also told Channel 4 news that she has no intention of retiring.
Asked how she remembered her dialogue for her stage work, Dame Judi, currently starring in the West End play Peter And Alice, said: "I don't know how I retain it.
"I take that wonderful thing called Eye Q every morning because somebody... told me about it ages ago and ... I've taken it ever since."
She said of getting older: "It is more difficult to remember, to retain something, but it's really a question of retaining the story."
Dame Judi said of her stage and screen ambitions: "Just keep on doing it...The most different thing is what I like to do best."
Asked about whether she would have jumped out of a plane if she'd been asked to play the Queen at the Olympic opening ceremony, she said: "I think I would have done it, strapped to someone I would have done it."
