Dan Stevens in talks for thriller

Dan Stevens could be starring opposite Liam Neeson in the film

Dan Stevens is to go from high society to the criminal underworld in new thriller A Walk Among The Tombstones.

The Downton Abbey star is in talks to appear alongside Liam Neeson in the mystery based on a popular crime novel of the same name in the Lawrence Block book series, Variety reports.

Liam will star as Matt Scudder - an ex-New York policeman and unlicensed private detective who is hired to find the kidnapped wife of a drug dealer.

It is not yet known what role Dan will play in the film, directed and adapted for the big screen by Scott Frank.

Dan's Downton character Matthew Crawley was killed off in a car crash at Christmas after the actor quit to pursue a career in Hollywood.

He has just finished a successful run in Broadway show The Heiress, opposite Jessica Chastain, and is currently filming Julian Assange biopic The Fifth Estate with Benedict Cumberbatch.

A Walk Among The Tombstones is due to begin filming next month.

Gemini:

This is a good time to establish a routine. Create a schedule that strikes a nice balance between your personal and professional lives. You're the type of person who needs plenty of intellectual stimulation outside of work. If you've been spending too much time at the office, reduce your hours. This may mean less money, but you can't put a price on happiness. You might even decide to take a job with unconventional hours so you can play sports or spend more time outdoors.More
