Daniel Radcliffe replaces Pattinson

Daniel Radcliffe will voice a vampire caled Edmund in The Simpsons' Twilight spoof

Daniel Radcliffe is replacing Robert Pattinson in Twilight - in Springfield at least.

The Harry Potter star is to voice R-Patz's character Edward Cullen in the latest Halloween episode of The Simpsons themed on the teen vampire stories.

The spoof episode, called Tweenlight, sees Lisa fall in love with a mysterious new student called Edmund, who also happens to be a vampire and his father is Count Dracula.

The pair's romance blossoms, and they leave Springfield for Dracula-la Land - leaving Homer to come to their rescue.

Simpsons producer Al Jean said: "Daniel was very excited to do The Simpsons."

As well as the Twilight spoof, the show will also see Hugh Laurie lend his voice to the show.

He will voice a castaway called Roger, who Marge and Homer rescue while they are on a second honeymoon.

The episode is set to air in the US on November 7.
