Dano fights for Warcraft role?

Paul Dano could be headed for a role in the Warcraft film.

The There Will Be Blood star is said to be "in talks" to appear in the big-screen adaptation of the popular World Of Warcraft video game, reported Deadline.

Other actors such as Anton Yelchin, Travis Fimmel from The History Channel's Vikings and Anson Mount from Hell On Wheels are also thought to be in consideration for parts.

Colin Farrell and Paula Patton are also reportedly in discussions to star in Warcraft too.

The fantasy film will be directed by Moon filmmaker Duncan Jones, with production expected to start in January 2014.

Paul, who has starred in Little Miss Sunshine, Cowboys And Aliens and Looper, will next be seen in tense thriller Prisoners alongside Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal, and Steve McQueen's 12 Years A Slave.

The 29-year-old is also set to portray Beach Boys frontman Brian Wilson in Bill Pohlad's biopic Love And Mercy.
