James D'Arcy has revealed how he shaved off his hair for his upcoming role in Cloud Atlas.
The British actor, who plays Edward VIII in Madonna's W.E, plays a number of characters in the historical sci-fi drama, directed by Tom Tykwer and The Wachowskis.
"Everybody's playing multiple characters. I play four different roles and I was bald for one of them," he said.
James continued: "Cloud Atlas is a huge epic. It is six stories told in six different time zones with an extraordinary castlist. There's so much more, but I don't know where to start, that is the truth."
The 35-year-old has high hopes for the movie, which is based on David Mitchell's novel and which has a star-studded cast including Tom Hanks, Hugh Grant, Halle Berry, Jim Broadbent and Susan Sarandon.
"I think it could be amazing. It's a really wonderful film... which was a dream to work on," he added.
