Ellen DeGeneres has handed over a 1,000 dollar tip collected from some of the biggest names in Hollywood to the man who delivered pizzas at the Oscars.
The talk show host fronted the Academy Awards ceremony where she invited in a delivery man at one point to hand out pizza to stars such as Julia Roberts and Jared Leto, while Brad Pitt helped to hand out paper plates.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the man, Edgar, also owns the shop and had not known he would be on TV and meeting stars when he went to drop the pizzas off.
On Ellen's talk show the next day she said: "My next guest was delivering pizzas last night and little did he know he'd be delivering them to some of the biggest stars in the world," before handing over 600 dollars she had collected in Pharrell Williams' hat on the night from A-listers as a tip, plus another 400 dollars to make it up to 1,000 dollars.
Edgar, who said he was a big fan of Julia Roberts, said: "I was shocked. I didn't know it was going to be something [like] this. It was really crazy. [Julia] was my like woman in dreams. I was always watching her movies back in Moscow. So it was something crazy to me to deliver [her pizza]."
Guests on The Ellen DeGeneres show included Best Actress winner Cate Blanchett who revealed she had slept with her Oscar: " It's the closest my husband and I have ever come to having a three-way."
Best Supporting Actress winner Lupita Nyong'o said of her brother getting in on the selfie of Ellen with stars including Meryl Streep and Angelina Jolie, which became the most retweeted photo ever: "He lives life in an exclamation point and he just saw that opportunity and he's like, 'I'm getting in. It's my only chance'."
Best Supporting Actor winner Jared Leto told the audience he didn't mind being on TV after staying up all night: "Don't feel sorry for me. This is a time to revel in. This is a sunrise that you want to see."
