Delevingne in Winterbottom film
Cara Delevingne is set to star in a film based around the Amanda Knox court case , according to reports.
The top model, 21, has signed up for a "major role" in The Face Of An Angel, directed by Michael Winterbottom, the Daily Mirror reported.
The film follows a troubled film-maker researching the murder trial in Italy.
Rush star Daniel Bruhl plays the lead character, while Colin Firth is rumoured to be playing a journalist or writer investigating the trial.
Filmmaker Michael was previously been quoted as saying that "there is unlikely to be a character playing Knox".
A source told the Daily Mirror: "It doesn't look like Cara will be playing [Knox] but she will have a major role, as the director wants to focus on events surrounding the trial and the people whose lives have been affected by it."
Cara, who is also said to want to pursue a music career, recently finished shooting Brit flick Kids In Love and is set to appear in London Fields, alongside Billy Bob Thornton and Amber Heard.
Amanda was convicted and imprisoned over the killing of British student Meredith Kercher in November 2007.
She was convicted along with her Italian former boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito , but the pair were cleared in 2011 .
Italy's supreme court has ordered a new trial but Amanda, who now lives in Seattle, has said she will not attend .
