Diesel confirms Guardians role
Vin Diesel has confirmed he will appear in Guardians Of The Galaxy, as he trains up for the role on the Fast And Furious 7 set.
The 46-year-old, who is playing the tree-like Groot in James Gunn's Marvel film, posted a video of him walking on spring jump stilts, titled Tree Form Down Time, accompanied by the caption: "A rare but lighter moment on set..."
"Do I look like a tree to you? This is bigger than anything you can ever imagine or expected," he told friends in the footage.
It is the first time Vin has confirmed his role in the film, following speculation he would join Zoe Saldana, John C Reilly, Karen Gillan, Glenn Close and Benicio del Toro.
Vin, whose real name is Mark Sinclair, is later seen jumping around, running and even breaking out a few dance moves on the stilts on the set.
He later knocks on the trailer of Fast And Furious newcomer Djimon Hounsou, who is portraying Starforce agent Korath the Pursuer in Guardians Of The Galaxy.
"This is one of my Guardians Of The Galaxy brothers so he's going to understand why I'm going to have to be a seven-and-a-half foot tree, why I have to feel, why I have to go there," he said.
Vin admitted he makes a cameo appearance in the movie, and joked that he could take on Andy Serkis' motion capture works.
"Even though my father told me there are no small roles, only small actors - I have one line in the movie - but that doesn't mean anything. I'm still going to make it the best thing I possibly can, even if it means taking Andy Serkis to a whole other level, which is what we are going to do with motion capture."
