Diesel takes on Kojak in remake

Vin Diesel could play Kojak on the big screen

Vin Diesel is in talks to play Kojak in a big-screen remake.

The Fast And The Furious star is expected to take on the lead role of the tough-talking cop in the movie, which he would also co-produce, reported Deadline.

Skyfall writers Neal Purvis and Robert Wade are to script the upcoming film and make it contemporary for Universal Pictures.

Telly Savalas previously portrayed the New York policeman in the TV series, which ran from 1973 to 1978.

Vin has just wrapped Fast & Furious 6, the latest instalment in his popular car chase franchise, and Riddick, where he reprises his role as Richard B Riddick from 2000's Pitch Black.

Gemini:

You never do anything in moderation. Attend every fun party, accept every juicy offer and try all the delectable treats spread before you. Avoid unpleasant people and activities like the plague. This should be a time of enjoyment. Leave your list of chores at home. You can always attend to these jobs at another time. If you have a chance to show your creative work to a publisher, manager or agent, go ahead. This is also a great opportunity to go on job interviews, auditions and first dates.More
