Dinklage to star in The Thicket
Peter Dinklage has signed up to star in crime thriller The Thicket.
The Game Of Thrones star will be directed by Joe Lansdale in the film, according to The Wrap, although the rest of the cast has not been announced yet.
It follows a young man in Texas at the beginning of the 20th century who sets out to rescue his sister from a violent killer, Cut Throat Bill, and his gang who have kidnapped her.
He is helped in his search by bounty hunter Shorty (Peter), a grave-digging alcoholic son of an ex-slave and a street-smart prostitute.
Peter said of why he joined the cast: "Completely original. The characters and the world they inhabit jumped from the pages for me in such a cinematic way."
Gianni Nunnari's production company Hollywood Gang are making the film and Gianni said: "That Joe Lansdale's dark vision will be brought to life by the brilliantly talented Peter Dinklage starring as Shorty - it is a dream of mine.
"This is the kind of original movie with edge and style that Hollywood Gang is hungry for; luckily we found all these things in The Thicket. We cannot wait to share this movie with audiences around the world."
Peter can be seen in the upcoming sci-fi comedy Pixels alongside Adam Sandler.
