Director: Fast 7 will be completed

Paul Walker died in a car crash on November 30

Paul Walker's final Fast And Furious movie will be completed despite his death, director James Wan has said.

The future of Fast And Furious 7 has been unclear following the actor's death in a car crash on November 30, with movie bosses putting production on hold.

But when gossip site TMZ asked director James whether the movie would be completed, he said: "Yes."

He said that the cast and crew were "very sad and sombre" but were "dealing with it".

Production on the seventh instalment of the action-packed franchise began in September and although a large portion has been shot, it is still incomplete.

Saw filmmaker James didn't discuss how he or the studio would adjust the movie or handle Paul's unfinished performance.

Paul, 40, was killed when the Porsche Carrera GT he was a passenger in smashed into a lamppost and tree and burst into flames. The actor's friend and financial adviser, Roger Rodas, who was driving, also died. Authorities have said speed was a factor in the crash.

The actor played Brian O'Connor in five of the six Fast And Furious movies and was the face of the franchise.

Fast And Furious 7 was originally scheduled for a July 11 release date. It isn't known whether that date will now change.
