Director found for Chastain film

Jessica Chastain's drama The Secret Scripture has taken a step forwards after a director was brought on board.

Irish director Thaddeus O'Sullivan will take the reins of the movie version of Sebastian Barry's novel, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The filmmaker 's previous work includes Into The Storm and The Heart Of Me.

Vanessa Redgrave is also set to star in the film version of the award-winning book.

The actresses will play the same character - a woman who is confined to a mental institution in Ireland and keeps a diary of her time there - at different ages.

Shooting is due to start in June.
