Downey Jr wants daughter close by

Robert Downey Jr has joked directors may have to get creative filming him as he wants to have his baby daughter with him at all times.

The 49-year-old actor - who already has two sons - is expecting a daughter with wife Susan Levin and revealed he plans to carry the new arrival around on film sets in a baby carrier.

Robert quipped: "I probably won't want her out of my sight very often. They might have to frame her out of scenes I'm doing, if I need her in a little Bjorn or something."

He joked Iron Man 4 could see the superhero wearing a BabyBjorn carrier, laughing: "That's my big reveal!"

Meanwhile, Jon Favreau - who directed Robert in Iron Man and Iron Man 2 - revealed the action is really going to take off in the next Marvel ensemble movie Avengers: Age Of Ultron, on which he is a producer.

Jon said: "Joss Whedon really has a handle on the tone and the characters. The first Avengers movie was the hard part because he had to pull 'em all together. And now he just can have fun with them.

"You got the Hulk-buster suit in there, you've got Vision, you've got all these great aspects of it and I think he's really smart with what he's exploring. And then of course civil war is coming with Captain America - anybody who reads comic books knows these are really great storylines."

Robert and Jon were talking at the Bafta Los Angeles Jaguar Britannia Awards, which took place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, and will be shown on BBC America on November 2.
