Downton's Jo heading for Hollywood
Joanne Froggatt is planning to make a bid for Hollywood stardom.
The Downton Abbey star has already made a name for herself with US audiences as the loveable Anna in the hit costume drama, and she tells the Daily Telegraph she is now hoping to pursue a film career in America.
Joanne said: "I'm heading to Los Angeles in a couple of months. I just filmed Filth with James McAvoy and Jim Broadbent so I'd love to do more films as that was such fun.
"It's great as because of Downton Abbey people there know who I am more than they would otherwise."
The 31-year-old actress found fame in the UK as teenage mum Zoe Tattersall in Coronation Street, before appearing in hit shows Bad Girls, Dinner Ladies and most recently Downton Abbey, which has also been big across the pond.
Her new film Filth is the latest of Trainspotting writer Irvine Welsh's novels to be adapted for the big screen.
