Dunst's Two Faces to open film fest
Kirsten Dunst's new film, The Two Faces Of January, is to open the San Francisco International Film Festival.
The thriller, which also stars Oscar Isaac and Viggo Mortensen, will be the opening night film on April 24, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
In Hossein Amini's directorial debut, which is based on Patricia Highsmith's novel, Kirsten and Viggo play an American couple touring Athens in 1962 with Oscar as their tour guide.
Chris Messina's Alex Of Venice, starring the Mindy Project actor, Elizabeth Winstead and Don Johnson, will close the festival on May 8.
The San Francisco Film Society's Noah Cowan said: "We are delighted to offer these exceptional films by first-time directors who are best known for their work in other areas of the film world. Championing talented artists who aren't afraid of taking risks is at the heart of the Film Society's mission and our ongoing support of filmmakers around the world."
The San Francisco Film Festival, now in its 57th year, runs from April 24 to May 8.
