Dustin Hoffman stirs up Chef buzz

Dustin Hoffman has joined the cast of Chef

Dustin Hoffman has joined the cast of Jon Favreau's ensemble comedy Chef.

The Iron Man director will star in the film, which he wrote himself from an original idea.

Favreau broke the news himself on Twitter with a message saying "New cast members #Chef" attached to a video clip of himself on set of the film in chef's whites with Dustin, both saying the word "Chef" repeatedly.

The indie movie is about a chef who loses his job and so starts up his own food truck to reclaim his artistic promise and win back his family.

The film also stars Robert Downey Jr, Sofia Vergara, John Leguizamo, Scarlett Johansson and Bobby Cannavale.
