Zac Efron and Amber Heard are speeding up to star in thriller Autobahn.

The duo could be fighting over the driving seat after they have apparently signed up to star in the car chase movie by Welcome To The Punch director Eran Creevy, reported Deadline.

The former High School Musical star is tipped to play an American backpacker who gets involved with a ring of drug smugglers as a pick-up driver, but ends up being pursued by his employers across Munich's high-speed freeways. There's no word about Amber's character.

Autobahn, which has been co-written by Eran with F Scott Frazier, is revving up for a start date in the autumn in Germany.

Zac - who stars alongside Nicole Kidman and John Cusack in Lee Daniels' The Paperboy - will next star in romantic comedy Are We Officially Dating? with Imogen Poots.

Amber, who has been romantically linked to her Rum Diary co-star Johnny Depp, will next be seen in thrillers Machete Kills, Paranoia and Three Days To Kill.

Sagittarius:

Beware of spending beyond your means. Sticking to a budget will help you survive the festive season relatively unscathed. It will be easier than you think to let your grip on the purse strings slip especially as the big day draws near. Let Christmas be about loving, sharing and giving. Spend quality time preparing food, making decorations and playing games together. If you haven't sent all your cards or round robin emails give some thought about what you will be sharing with others this year.More
