Jesse Eisenberg has admitted being unsure about reprising his role in Zombieland 2.
The 27-year-old actor, who played neurotic Columbus in the horror comedy, denied he is already on board for the sequel.
"No. They're writing the script right now but I haven't seen it and I suspect that the longer we wait, the less relevant it will be," he told Little White Lies website.
"I mean, all the actors would love to do it and the director would love to do it but I'm not sure what's happening."
Co-star Woody Harrelson has previously revealed his uncertainty over a follow-up.
"I'm sure it will happen if everyone does it, but I'm not sure it's the right thing to do," he told Empire.
"It's one thing to do it when it came out real good and it made a lot of people laugh, but then to do a sequel... 99 out of 100 are worse by a lot. So I don't know. I don't feel like a sequels guy."
Zombieland, directed by Ruben Fleischer, starred Woody, Jesse, Emma Stone, and Abigail Breslin as survivors of a zombie apocalypse. It became a box office hit upon its release in 2009 and received several award nominations.
