Elisabeth Moss for holiday horror

Elisabeth Moss is to star in Queen of Earth, a psychological thriller about a girlie getaway that goes horribly wrong.

The project will see the Mad Man star reunite with Alex Ross Perry, who directed her in indie drama Listen Up Philip, The Hollywood Reporter revealed.

Elisabeth will play one of two women who escape to a remote beach house for a holiday to leave the stresses of their daily lives. But when they reach their holiday destination, they realise how much they have grown apart and their paranoia gets the better of them.

Alex wrote the screenplay, which is inspired by films like Repulsion and Rosemary's Baby.

He also wrote and directed Listen Up Philip, which premiered at Sundance earlier this year, starring Jason Schwartzman as a self-obsessed novelist, whose relationship with his photographer girlfriend (Elisabeth) is breaking down as he flees to a summer house to escape the pressure of promoting his latest book.

Drinking Buddies director-writer-producer Joe Swanberg is producing Queen of Earth.
