Enchanted sequel moves forward

Amy Adams' movie Enchanted is finally getting a sequel.

The live-action Disney film about a fairytale princess and her adventures in real life New York - which was a big hit when it was released in 2007 - is getting a follow-up after seven years, reported Deadline.

However, so far there is no word on whether Amy or other members of the cast, which included Patrick Dempsey, Susan Sarandon and James Marsden, will return.

W riters J David Stem and David N Weiss, who have worked on films like Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius and the Smurfs movies, have been hired to write Enchanted 2, and Anne Fletcher will direct.

Enchanted made close to £200 million at the worldwide box office and was nominated for several awards including Golden Globes and Oscars.
