Entourage writer hints on film

Mark Wahlberg can't wait for the Entourage screenplay, according to writer Doug Ellin

Entourage creator Doug Ellin has joked that Mark Wahlberg keeps threatening him to write the film script faster.

The TV show founder has almost finished writing the screenplay for the upcoming big-screen version of the hit TV series, which Mark is executive producer on.

Doug joked to Deadline: "He keeps promising to kill me if I don't write faster. Every time I see him, Mark says, 'I've made five movies this year. Get going!'."

Stars Adrian Grenier, Kevin Connolly, Jeremy Piven, Kevin Dillon and Jerry Ferrara are set to reunite for the film, which takes place six months after the TV series left off, when it ended in September 2011 after an eight-season run.

"There are interesting developments about Ari as a studio head, and that's still the first page for me," said Doug.

"But foremost is the friendship between the guys who are still hanging out and going to fun parties, and it continues with the same characters."

Doug said that he can't wait to see his show on the big screen.

"I'm excited. I feel a lot of positive energy. Everywhere I go, people ask me, 'Where's the movie?'," he added.
