Eva Green is set to play a femme fatale in the Sin City sequel.
The former Bond Girl will take on the coveted role of Ava Lord in the eagerly anticipated Sin City: A Dame To Kill For, according to The Hollywood Reporter's Heat Vision blog.
The seductive character leads photographer Dwight (Josh Brolin) to end up framed for the murder of her wealthy husband.
Directors Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller said: "Ava Lord is one of the most deadly and fascinating residents of Sin City. From the start, we knew that the actor would need to be able to embody the multifaceted characteristics of this femme fatale and we found that in Eva Green."
Several of the stars from the 2005 crime thriller are reprising their roles in the follow-up, including Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Bruce Willis and Rosario Dawson.
The movie is scheduled for an October release in the US.
