Alice Eve has revealed how inspiring it was to be a part of breast cancer film Decoding Annie Parker.
The film stars Helen Hunt as Mary-Claire King, the geneticist who discovered the BRCA1 breast cancer gene, and Samantha Morton as Annie Parker, the first woman to be tested for it.
Alice said: "It's very inspiring. It's about a woman who worked alongside Marie Curie in the 70s and 80s to work out that cancer was in fact genetic, so she was a pioneering spirit.
"And I was very happy to work with Sam who I'm a huge fan of."
Helen was also inspired to work on the film.
She said: "It's sort of a parallel story. It's about Sam's character's intuition that there was something more to the fact that so many women in her family had breast cancer. And every doctor said, 'No no no no no', and she knew she was right. And she started to pursue this woman she heard about who had the same intuition and it's how the two of them run parallel and at the end they encounter each other. It's a really beautiful story."
