Fanning finds her English rose
Dakota Fanning is enjoying her transformation from American actress to British beauty in Now Is Good.
The Twilight star has been in the UK filming her role as Tessa - which sees her swapping her long blonde locks for a pixie hairstyle - in the big-screen adaptation of Jenny Downham's best-selling novel Before I Die, also starring British actress Olivia Williams.
"I have three wigs, a British accent - and I'm transformed," she told the Daily Mail.
Dakota's character suffers from leukaemia and wants to have a taste of teenage thrills before her time runs out. Olivia donned a blonde wig too, to play Tessa's mother.
"She wants to experience all these things and there's not a lot of time," she explained.
The 17-year-old, who will reprise her role as vampire Jane in the two-parter The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, needed little persuasion to star.
"I'm interested in good characters and the experience," she said.
Dakota may have to dig out her British accent again for two forthcoming films, including a part in Emma Thompson's Effie and a rumoured role as the young Princess Margaret in Girl's Night Out.
"There's nothing definite," she admitted about the latter.
