Vera Farmiga has signed on to the comedy Goats.
The Oscar-nominated actress will be joined by David Duchovny, Minnie Driver, Keri Russell and Will Arnett in Christopher Neil's directorial debut.
In the big-screen adaptation of Mark Jude Poirier's novel, Vera would play new-age mum Wendy to 15-year-old Ellis (Graham Phillips), as he leaves the only real dad he has ever known, Goat Man - a pot-smoking, goat herder played by Californication star David - to live with his real dad (Ty Burrell).
Minnie will be Wendy's best friend and yoga advisor, Will is Wendy's boyfriend Bennett and Keri would be Frank's new wife.
Producer Daniela Taplin Lundberg said: "Goats is that wonderful combination of hilarious and poignant, and we're so thrilled that actors as distinguished as this ensemble have responded to the script with such passion."
Filming is expected to start in February.
