Felicity: I'm a Spider-Man villain

Felicity Jones says her Spider-Man role is top secret

Felicity Jones has revealed she is a villain in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

The Chalet Girl star is signed up to appear alongside Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and Shaileene Woodley in Marc Webb's sequel to the comic book reboot, but nothing is known about her character.

Felicity revealed: "It's TOP secret. I can tell you that she's sort of on the baddie's side, but I can't explain much more than that."

She said of making the Hollywood blockbuster: "Just the scale was incredible. It's a different challenge to be on an enormous set, surrounded by hundreds of extras, as opposed to just being 20 people in the room."

The 29-year-old actress has also recently filmed The Invisible Woman in which she plays Charles Dickens' mistress Nelly Ternan. Ralph Fiennes stars as Dickens and also directed the project.

Felicity revealed: "He's such a phenomenal actor and incredible director and to work with someone who understands acting so intimately was just wonderful.

"He was such a support and he never would let me get away with something that was just lazy or easy. We were constantly pushing and trying to find the depths of who this woman was.

"That was a lot of reading and understanding who Nelly was. And obviously playing someone real you feel such a responsibility to tell her story truthfully. And especially someone like her, who had been so exiled from history and almost disappeared. I just wanted to get to the truth."

:: Felicity stars in Breathe In, released in cinemas on Friday July 19, 2013.
